Customer questions & answers
Question:How are you all securing this from blowing away in a storm? Are there bases on the vertical poles with stake holes
Answer:We live in Florida. We see our share of storms. I've had this enclosure for close to a year now and it's never so much as rocked. The structure lets the wind pass right through, even with the tarps on it, so there is minimal surface for the wind to push. There are 'bases' at every joint that touches the ground that have holes in them that can definitely accommodate a stake, smaller gauge rebar if you need.Question:Would this work as a dog kennel?
Answer:For a small dog , a large dog will be able to get thru the chicken wire , u can also reenforce the chicken wire with 14 gauge wire so a large dog couldn't get outQuestion:Does the cover only protect 1/3 of the coop as shown in picture?
Answer:Yes. You get get another tarp for the other half though.Question:What is the Mesh hole size?
Answer:1” x 1.5”. I use the coop for dog safety. We have wild Coyotes that love to eat small dogs. This is a perfect size (it goes from doggie door to doggie door).Question:This thing comes with white ties, green ties, and some kind of bolo ties. Is there a preferred method of using all these, or do we just guess?
Answer:Comes with green wire and white zip ties. We used the green wire to “sew” the panels together where they overlap and the zip ties to attach to frames. It’s very very light weight, so we screwed bottom in to railroad ties & planks so it didn’t get blown away in the wind -

This is easy to assemble if you follow the directions. But it is a 2-3 person job. I would replace ALL of the cable ties for the black cable ties. The white ones are very thin and brittle. The black ones hold better. I also like the tent shape. This is much easier for the rain NOT to puddle on the tarps included.

J***ieThis is a really nice pen, it is a good size and the best price out there. We found pens for the same price, only much smaller. If we had to do it again we would!

St***** M.Easiest product to assemble. We went a step further and wrapped this up with hardware cloth to keep the snakes out. Would give more stars if I could.

Edu*******ommaThe concerns some reviewers have noted are absolutely valid. The ties are very low quality -- so buy better, larger ones, the directions are mostly absent when one gets to the door part of the build, and the door top sections have tiny little holes yet only large bolts were provided? Obviously you'll need to make a hardware store run to pick up a couple of bolts, nuts, and washers of suitable size. Beyond these minor issues the build construction was fast -- I very much liked how the frame parts just snapped in place. The wire is thin, but for my use (covering a garden) it worked fine. It looks great, seems sturdy, and was worth the money ... hence why I gave it 5-stars.
