Question: What is the exact height of the medium crate from the floor to the top edge of the cover? The stated measurements are misleading.
Answer: 32.5” x 22.5” x 23.5”Question: Can my dog lift off the topper? If my dog wanted to "get out" and tried to push the lid/topper off, would she be able to or does it secure?
Answer: I guess this would depend what kind of dog you have. We have only been using this kennel for 1 week, our dog is a small 12 lb. maltese so he is NOT able to do anything like that, it is very secure. I am happy with this purchase!Question: How far apart are the bars?? I wanted to use it for a ferret.
Answer: They are about 1-1/2” apart and my husband says it could easily be used for a ferret.Question: My dog is a 35 lb Border collie, should I get the medium or the large?
Answer: I believe Large would be good. I bought a large for a German Shepherd. The large is 31.5 inches height. There's room for the dog to stand comfortably without hitting the roof of the crate. -

We needed a crate in our family room for those puppy time outs and when we need her safe, such as when we bring groceries in from the garage. So far, this crate has worked well. I wanted a crate that looked like an end table, and one with sturdy metal bars as our puppy is a biter/chewer. I knew the crates with wood dowels would be chewed up in no time. We leave the door open, and she goes in it by herself and brings her toys with her. She doesn’t come anywhere near the top of the grate, even when standing, but a large dog might be able to move the lid.

I waited a few weeks before reviewing this item. As a crate, it wouldn’t work for my large 5 month old Dalmatian. But as a doggy gate it works fantastic!!!! The wood matches our kitchen cabinets and it keeps the little Mr. Spots from getting in the kitchen! The gate itself is about 28”, so you don’t feel crammed into a small opening to try and lug in the grocery bags. The constant opening and closing seems to work flawlessly. We did add “feet” from another manufacturers gate and they work great! You probably don’t need 6 “feet” but we needed the extra support to help our 45lb baby Dalmatian who likes to stretch his body on the gate and test our patience :) Check out the photos

The color compliments our house. We are renovating so we use these more as gates than crates for the moment. I love how easy they are to position and reposition. As a crate it is very nice to look at. Just put a brick or something heavy on top (bc the top is not connected). All in all, very please with the product. Will try to upload the pic of 2 of them blocking off half of a room — I love how you can out more than one of these together.

This has worked out very well for our dog. Never having had a dog in the house, I was leery of how it might work. He enjoys it when the grandchildren or visitors come & he needs to have his own space. It also is a good way to leave him for a while when we have to be away & don't want to worry about what he might find that might not be good for him to get into. He uses it mostly at night. We leave it open then & he usually stays in it through the night. We also leave it open most of the time when we are home & he goes usually if he wants to rest.

I’m so thankful I got this crate versus the traditional metal crate. First I was happy that I could incorporate it into my living room as a side table, the large sat a little high, but then again it was the large size. What makes me thankful though is that I could open into the gate. We tried, but the crate gave my little girl such anxiety; so, we opened up that bad boy and now gate her in the kitchen when away. Love the weight and sturdiness. And she loves having a bit more space while still remaining contained.
